great. borne tagged me. n so i shall be my boring self and answer the questions.
1. Grab the nearest book.
2. Open the book to page 123.
3. Find the fifth sentence.
4. Post the text of the next 3 sentences on your blog along with these instructions.
5. Don't you dare dig for that "cool" or "intellectual" book in your closet! I know you were thinking about it! Just pick up whatever is closest.
6. Tag five people
"they are not. women are more sensitive to sound, smell, taste and touch. They therefore pick up naunces of voice more readily and they acquire language skills earlier."
-extract from "a guide to general paper for G.C.E 'A' Level"

i can't seem to part with my blog! especially after the whole episode of the lecture tests last week. those burnt me out! try having 4 tests and one performance in the past week!
last night was the first performance of "happening happenings". it was a success! but i guess i'm now suffering from the "post-performance syndrome". i always seem to fall sick after every performance cuz of the long practices before that.
you might need to click on this to enlarge (:
but this time, the tests added on to the pressure. so u can officially say i'm punctured. to make things worse, there's still 2 more shows next staurday. family and friends coming to watch me (: ny choir took some pics last night. so i'll post them up here:

this week: econs lecture test, chemistry spa skill C,D. *blows nose* [sorry borne, for highjacking your tissue. i promise i'll bring one box for myself tmr (: ]
[meiping, concentrate on recovering. don't worry about me.]
[mel, you better recover NOW so u dun need to fight with me for tissue (: ]
[i'll get well soon!]

choir practices stopped for the whole of this week cuz performance is on sunday. and we're gonna have full day practice on saturday. i hope not to fall sick! *crosses fingers*
well the sad thing is that i didn't use the extra time i have to rest at home. instead, i used both wednesday and friday choir practice time for consultation periods with teachers. baa. i'm morphing into a monster, that i've yet to identify. and no, borne, i'm not morphing into a mugger. jiajie's still the ultimate. next comes yuan wen. hah.
our first performance with WE, PJ n NY choir will be on this sunday, 6.30-7.30pm at singapore arts museum. interested peeps, pls let me know ya? each ticket is $12. we'll have 2 other performances on 26th aug, saturday, 7-8pm and 9-10pm. same price, same place (: i'll be emcee-ing again, and until today, i don't know what on earth i'm gonna say. its times like these when i feel i've got mark tan's gap. argh.

In addition to melvin's latest update, i totally agree its freaking hard to get tickets for NDP. EVERY YEAR. i only managed to watch it twice. once was with the school in primary 5 (everyone gets to go when you're p5) and the other was when my mom's boss somehow had loadsa tix to give away, and so my whole family went. it was SOOO fun. the atmosphere and the people who watch the NDP with you. i can't wait to get tickets next year to go with friends. mel, mp, borne, we shall ballot for tickets with the SAM machine, AXS machine and through the internet (since lester claims its easier to get it through the internet) and if we still can't get tickets this way, we're really losers.
well yesterday was the usual eve of national day celebration done in schools. for us, it was different. it was some fund raise + fun race thing. like how fun was the fun race? if we were only ask to do a fund raise, i'd be more than happy to help. but if u add in a fun race in together with the fund race, its definitely not equals to fun, fun, fun. its freakin' tiring. plus, we were made to walk in CIRCLES through boon keng to little india?! so much for a celebration.
but knowing 0622, we made fun out of everything we could. managed to take pictures too.

of course, not forgetting the highlight of yesterday, jiajie. we're all so proud of you, jj. haha. the parade went well and the weather was on our side, so everything went well! here's a picture of jj in his ncc uniform carrying the national flag. we tried to distract him and make him laugh but he didn't exactly fall for our trick.

this time, i gave in to updating my blog. borne, mel and i made a deal about abstaining from blogging until the block tests were over. considering that meiping doesn't have a blog, she doesn't have much to read either. that way, it benefits all 4 of us. haha.
ok, i know the Class exco investiture ended like a week ago, but i'll just update it today. remember i WAS staying away from the com the past week?! the investiture went smoothly. borne n i were emcees for the day, which kinda made the whole class point at us and laugh. hah. no major mistakes or stumbling of words. good job borne! its fun to go on stage with your bestie. haha.
so since i was the emcee, mel had to take over my place n received the collar pins on behalf of the class exco of 0622. simply love you guys! love working with the class exco. bunch of funny crappy people like edmund (lebron?!). but hey, at least we have fun and GET work done!

i only managed to get this pic with 4/6 of the class exco together with renkai and borne.
ok. change of subject. choir's been exhausting me lately. the long practices plus MAKE-UP sectionals that make choir practices EXTRA long. thanks la, after last nights blardy long practice, i fell sick this morning. guess what i have tmr? chem lecture test. 12.5% of my promos results is at stake here. i'm not having enough sleep lately, and that's causing me to indulge in caffein all day (which is TOTALLY unhealthy). if choir takes up most of my time, i will not sacrifice my study time, but instead, sacrifice my sleep. i suffered enough during my mid years.
but there is someone in choir i MUST mention. wee san. she keeps the sops all cheery and NOT dread the long practices. most importantly, she never fails to lend a listening ear to my problems. she's the main reason why i smile during choir.
