1. Completed permanent relief teaching for 2 terms!!

2. Accepted into nursing-NUS.

Last friday marked the last day of term 2. which meant school holidays to the kids, and a short period of freedom for teachers. i'm off to enjoy myself before entering uni and then in july, i'll go back for one-day reliefs in SJI-JR again. which probably means i'll work 3-4 work weeks (:

Celebrated the last day of work with Gabriel, Glen, Zaher, Kelvin and Gilbert @ Tony Roma's at Suntec. great food, great company. its quite cool to be dining with a future Sinseh, Teachers and Nurse on the same table. Its like we're at the edge where we turn into professionals from aimless teenagers. (well except for Gilbert and Zaher)

Nursing
Got accepted into NUS for nursing, which means the interview paid off (: Its cumbersome to fill in forms, send back to the uni, accept online here there everywhere. I don't recall JC intake being THIS troublesome.

Took the necessary medical tests for admission already. For Medical, Nursing and Dental students, we're required to take blood tests and hepatits jabs on top of urine test n x-rays. Even chicken pox jabs if you haven't got it. i already got jabbed twice in the arm. I can foresee one more coming.

This IS definitely MORE TROUBLESOME than JC or even sec sch posting. Its like "you better get jabbed, or NO UNI for you". sigh. oh well, i hope everything gets into place soon. i'm so messed up with the forms!!

I applied for a scholarship with the National Healthcare Group of hospitals. I chose my hospital to be bonded to as TTSH. I shared my choice with some doctors, but they told me some stories about ttsh. I pray i didn't make the wrong decision!! Its a 3-4 year bond with the hospital depending if i qualify for honours (which i would like to push for).

I really hope i get this scholarship. its tuition fee paid for and monthly allowance for me. I don't want dad to be tied down with TWO tuition fees to be paid for both his kids going into uni in the same year. (which reminds me, i'll be graduating in the same year as my brother! yay. haha)

On a side note, this year's GSS is killing me! I want to spend, and yet i have no allowance/salary for the month of GSS!! damn. it feels weird not to have money coming in every month.

my first question was: Bioengineering, as in Bio Medical Engineering?? then i logged onto the NTU website to search for that engineering school. i had a hard time picking if it belonged to the chemical and biomedical engineering school OR the school of biological sciences. blur.

this shows that i literally anyhow picked my choices in NTU. who knew i'd make it to my first choice? scary. life just keeps getting more and more interesting. haha. NUS is SERIOUSLY SLOW. the longer i wait for nursing acceptance for NUS, the more confused i get. now i'm lost.
